Budget Billing is designed to help make your monthly utility costs more predictable by spreading your usage evenly throughout the year.
Eligibility & Enrollment
To enroll, customers must have at least 12 months of service history. This allows us to accurately calculate an average monthly amount based on your past usage.
Consistent Payments
Your budget amount will remain consistent each month; however, actual usage is still tracked. We encourage customers to review their monthly bill regularly to monitor usage and stay aware of any differences between budgeted and actual costs.
October "Settle-Up"
Each October, your account will go through a “settle-up” process. If your actual usage for the year was higher than your budgeted payments, the remaining balance will be due at that time. If your usage was lower, any credit will be applied to your account.
Annual Recalculation
Following the settle-up, your new budget billing amount will be recalculated based on your most recent 12 months of usage and will be reflected on your October bill.
